No warnings are in effect now. But there is still the potential for damaging winds from the stronger storms in the line.

At 9:55 p.m., a trained spotter reported trees down along Huffman Road near 5 mile creek in the northeastern part of Birmingham.

We will continue to track the line of storms as it pushes eastward through the remainder of the night.

Forecasters have issued advisories on tornadoes, severe thunderstorms and flash floods covering a large swath of Alabama. A National Weather Service tornado watch spanning most of northwestern Alabama is expected to expire at 1 a.m. Tuesday. The tornado watch covers an area including Colbert, Cullman, Morgan, Limestone counties and more.

A severe thunderstorm watch covering parts of central and western Alabama is also expected to expire at 1 a.m. The severe thunderstorm watch covers several counties including Bibb, Tuscaloosa and Jefferson.

The National Weather Service says a system moving through the region is expected to produce heavy rain, which has prompted a flood watch advisory covering parts of northern Alabama. The flash flood warning is expected to expire Tuesday evening.
