COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - There are more problems in Richland County as South Carolinians go the polls for primary voting.

Polls opened more than 45 minutes late Tuesday at one precinct in northeastern Richland County. Voting machines were not working at another precinct in downtown Columbia.

Richland County experienced voting problems in both the 2012 election and in Columbia municipal elections last year.

In Mount Pleasant, only about 100 people had cast ballots at two precincts in Mount Pleasant in the first 90 minutes of voting.

The attention is on U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, as well as races for constitutional offices in Republican and Democratic primaries.

Graham is seeking the GOP nomination for a third term but must get by six primary challengers who say he's not conservative enough.

Polls close at 7 p.m.
