SBA center opens in Graysville for homeowners, businesses affected by storms

GRAYSVILLE - AL - A disaster recovery center has reopened its doors to offer low interest loans. Homeowners, renters and businesses affected by the April storms can apply at the Graysville Library for help.

Saturday morning, FEMA recovery operations in Graysville transformed into a Small Business Administration Center. People can apply for low interest loans to repair or replace lost belongings. For homeowners, the SBA can lend up to 200 thousand dollars for homes and 40 thousand for damaged property. Businesses can qualify for up to two million dollars.

The center will be open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., as well as Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m..

As a reminder, the deadline to apply for a loan or FEMA help is July 1st.

FEMA recovery centers are now closed. But people can still apply online or by calling 1-800-621-3362.
