Rescue teams respond to possible drowning, recover body

HOLLYWOOD, S.C. (WCIV) -- Divers recovered a body from Log Bridge Creek Tuesday morning.

The Charleston County Rescue Squad was assisting the Charleston County Sheriffs Office with a possible drowning in Hollywood near Stono Ferry.

The CCSO Aviation Unit, St. John's Fire Department and St. Paul's Fire Department were also on scene.

Officials received a call regarding a possible person in the water in the area of 4465 Francis Yonge Way near Stono Ferry. They started searching around 9:30 a.m. and found the body of a white elderly man around 2 :30 p.m.

The cause of death was not released.
