CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Big Fireworks Company is recalling their sword-shaped fountain device because of the risk that it could "unexpectedly explode."

According to a release from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the 30-inch "sword" is a handheld fountain that is supposed to emit sparks from the tip.

The blue and yellow sword has the Big Fireworks logo and the words “Big Sword” printed on the front. A yellow cardboard tag attached to the handle of the device has “Big Sword” and a caution statement printed on it. The sword has model number 3609 printed above the product’s barcode.

The company told the USCPSC they have gotten two reports of the device exploding, but no one was injured.

If you purchased one of these swords, you can return them to where you bought them for a full refund. They were sold at Big Fireworks retailers and wholesale distributors nationwide from April 2014 to June 2014 for about $13.

Consumers can contact Big Fireworks toll-free at (866) 514-6225 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday or go online at www.bigfireworks.com then click on the Recall tab at the bottom of the page for more information.
