ANN ARBOR, Mich., July 8, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Newly appointed North America Manufacturing Vice President for General Motors, Cathy Clegg, will address attendees at the 49th annual Center for Automotive Research (CAR) Management Briefing Seminars (MBS). The premier North American automotive conference will take place Aug. 4–7 in Traverse City, MI.

Clegg will join David Dauch, Chairman, President & CEO, American Axle Corporation; Joe Minto, Senior Vice President, Honda North America; Nigel Francis, Senior Vice President, Automotive Industry Office, Michigan Economic Development Corporation and others on Monday, August 4, 2014 as part of the event's kickoff.  The session is moderated by Dr. Jay Baron, CAR's president & CEO.                                                           

This keynote session, Mapping the Pathway to World Class Manufacturing, will focus on the "might" of manufacturing and its importance, and will highlight new product and process technologies, as well as demonstrate the breadth, depth and performance of state-of-the-art technology integration. Presentations and discussions will focus on manufacturing excellence, and present advanced vehicle technologies that support fuel economy, safety, and performance.  The session is sponsored by Plex Systems.
