JAMES ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) -- James Island High School students hosted a prayer vigil for a lost diver Sunday night.

The vigil was held at James Island Charter High School to pray for the safe return of an 18-year-old who was diving with his father Saturday off the coast of Folly Beach.

According to officials, the father and teen dive duo were about 13 miles southeast of Folly Beach, diving from their 22-foot Carolina skiff. Crews say the two men went into the water around 2 p.m. for a 30-minute, 60-feet-deep dive.

The father surfaced but his son did not, officials said.

On Monday, two USCG boats and a C-130 continued the search for the boy.

The missing diver’s name is not being released by officials.
