BONNEAU, S.C. (WCIV) -- One person was killed Monday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Berkeley County.

According to the Berkeley County Coroner, 41-year-old Gary Edwin Simmons was killed when he was ejected from his truck.

According to a South Carolina Highway Patrol spokesperson, Simmons' F-150 pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Harristown Road around 7:30 a.m. The truck reportedly went off the left side of the road, hit a ditch and flipped near Timberland High School.
