CPD: Man sought in Huger Street stabbing

 CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston police are on the lookout for a man they believe stabbed another man outside of a Huger Street duplex.

Police said they are looking for 47-year-old Edward Singleton, wanted for assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and possession of a knife during a violent crime.

Officers responded to the home just after 4 a.m. Sunday morning. A woman in the home said she found the victim, a 47-year-old man, standing in the bathroom with blood on his clothes. She told police the victim told her he had been stabbed.

The woman also said the victim told her someone known as "Hazel" was the one who stabbed him.

The victim was taken to MUSC for treatment.

Singleton is described as a 5'10" black male weighing about 150 pounds.

Police say if anyone sees him or knows of his whereabouts, call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
