Sertoma schedule clashes titans with pair of huge games Thursday

Posted: Updated:

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) – High school football fans can look forward to clashes between Lowcountry titans at this year's Sertoma Classic. Thursday night's games feature a Stratford-Timberland match-up and a pairing between Goose Creek and West Ashley.

Thursday night starts with Porter Gaud taking on Lincoln and Baptist Hill taking on Cane Bay.

John McKissick will lead the Summerville Green Wave on the field for another season as his team takes on Hanahan. Then Stratford and Timberland face off in a two-quarter game.

James Island fans will get a good look at what their new coach can do as the Trojans take on St. Johns, which is followed by the second two-quarter game of the night: Goose Creek and West Ashley. The Gators got some bad news last week when starting quarterback Pedro Manigault tore his ACL and MCL during practice.

Manigault transferred to Goose Creek in the off season – from West Ashley.

On Friday night, the games start with Academic Magnet taking on Stall followed by Palmetto Christian taking on Garrett Tech.

Burke steps onto the field for the first time against First Baptist and then Pinewood Prep will take on North Charleston.

Northwood Academy and Military Magnet may play two quarters, and the night will end with Wando taking on Bishop England.
