Spanish Bean Soup

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. smoked sausage
  • 3 cans Garbanzo Beans (Chick Peas) with liquid
  • 4 lg. potatoes cut in bite-sized pieces
  • 1 lg. onion
  • 1 pkg. of Vigo flavoring spice or saffarin spice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

In large dutch oven, cut sausage into bite-sized pieces and add all ingredients. Add water if necessary to increase liquid broth. Cook until potatoes and onion are done. Broth will be a pretty "yellow" color.  Great served with garlic bread.
